LDA sale deeds are in square metres. Property brokers quote square feet. Older Awas Vikas & rural conveyances still use bigha and gaj. Convert both directions before any negotiation — a 1 bigha plot in UP Pucca is ~27,000 sqft or ~2,508 sqm; in Kaccha bigha it is closer to ~15,000 sqft, so always confirm which bigha is being quoted.
